Savanavenn
An Update
26 July 2024 - Edited 26 Jan 2026
Back in early 2023, I started working on creating a simple yet clever Habit companion app based on an idea from my university days. At that time, I was still a junior developer, and this solo project was a chance to learn new skills that I might not have picked up in a more established setting.
The first version of the project was a success and was released in the Apple App Store. Let's consider that Savanavenn version 1.0. It was a proof concept, and the proof of my skills. Since then, I've gained more experience and knowledge in software engineering while working on various projects. Now, I'm aiming to rebuild Savanavenn from scratch. This way, I can make the most of my new skills and improve the app in many ways. I also plan to add specific "smart" features to bring the app closer to its original idea. But for now I have decided to remove the V1 from the app store. It’s not representative of my vision for the app.
Working on Savanavenn V2 will take a while, especially as I have responsibilities over other projects with higher priority to focus on.
Big thanks to everyone who has been with me on this journey and has been patient while I've been working on making this app the best it can be.
Meet Savanavenn.
No Rewards, No Pressure.
The inspiration behind Savanavenn is the creator's personal experience with ADHD.
Savanavenn isn't about reward systems. Instead, we focus on providing a meaningful way to manage your busy life and keep oversight, without the pressure. The purpose is to leave a good impact in the long term.
Tasks.
Savanavenn doesn't stop at habits. It's also a tool for setting tasks and reminders. The benefit is that you can keep oversight of habits and tasks in one easy-to-use environment. Tasks have varying priority levels that change the timing and frequency of reminders, making sure your attention is focused where it's needed most.
Habits.
Savanavenn is your personal habit tracker and journal, designed to work with both flexible and planned habits. We've got two types of habits here: the flexible ones and the planned ones.
Flexible habits are perfect for those spur-of-the-moment interests you pick up, like a new book recommended by a friend. No pressure, no overwhelm, just a gentle nudge so you won't forget about it. Just take your time.
Planned habits, on the other hand, are for when you're ready to commit to something new. Savanavenn will be there, reminding you and helping you track your progress and journal your journey.
